Steve Hall trained in fine woodworking and furniture design at the Primrose Center in Missoula, Montana. He came to Bellingham in 1984 and established his shop in Washington State's oldest brick building; Bellingham's first courthouse and jail. Awards in the Northwest International Art Competition and a student show at Western Washington University followed with the success of his business. Steve is a founding member of Artwood. he builds all types of furniture, using traditional joinery and hand tool techniques. His business has now expanded to a new larger shop. he continues to design and build distinctive furniture which is either one-of-a-kind or produced in limited edition of no more than six pieces.
